Los Mayas Eternos is a non-profit organization based in Merida, Yucatan, dedicated to preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of the Mayan people. Founded by Pedro Augustin Tec Chim, a photographer and archeologist who has been working in Mayan communities for over 15 years, our organization aims to make a positive impact on the lives of many Mayan families with a particular focus on women and children.
Our Story
Los Mayas Eternos, founded by Photographer and Archeologist, Pedro Augustin Tec Chim in 2020 He began his non profit Los Mayas Eternos to assist with the agricultural losses incurred by Hurricane Ida. Since then LME has grown its programs to include distribution of food, medicine, clothing and blankets and more. Los Mayas Eternos provides services in all of Yucatan Mexico

Ways We Help
Los Mayas Eternos is a social-welfare organization that takes a holistic approach to solving some of our communities' biggest challenges, working with local district leaders to respond to the needs of individuals and communities. This includes regularly distributing food and clothing. Ongoing services also include providing essential medical aid to Mayan families in Yucatan.
We also organize fun and engaging events throughout the year, such as toy distributions for over 1000 children during the Christmas season in multiple pueblos and areas surrounding the airport in the south of Merida.
